Rising for Charleston Memorial Service
University U.M. Church, Isla Vista CA – In the wake of the tragic mass shooting at Charleston’s Emanuel African Methodist Episcopal Church that claimed nine innocent lives, Everytown for Gun Safety, Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America, faith leaders, gun violence survivors, elected leaders and others gathered in Isla Vista to participate in a National Gun Violence Prevention Sabbath to honor the victims of the Charleston shooting and talk about how people of faith and concerned citizens are uniting to turn grief into action – action that will ultimately help reduce gun violence in America.
